Carbitool was founded by Neil Hamilton in Victoria in 1974, subsequently acquiring four other Melbourne and Sydney manufacturing businesses. It was acquired by the century-old Australian tool manufacturing and services group Sutton Tools in 2018.
Carbitool has a long standing reputation for excellence in the manufacture of carbide tools for the woodworking, cabinetry, joinery, furniture, timber and panel industries.
